Two Vintage Baseball Card Sites Launched

By Rich Mueller of Sports Collectors Daily

Two baseball card websites are bringing collectors closer to a pair of classic sets.

The recently-launched sites are T206Card.com (http://www.t206card.com) and Topps1952.com (http://www.topps1952.com), each of which pays homage to baseball card sets which are among the most popular and desired in the hobby.

T206 tobacco cards were issued from 1909-1911 in packs of cigarettes produced by the American Tobacco Company. The set is famous for its rarities including the famous Honus Wagner card, of which less than 100 are thought to exist.

Collectors will find articles dealing with the rare baseball cards in this 524-card issue as well as insights into recent high dollar sales.

The site's most attractive feature, however, is the instant access to all of the T206 cards on eBay. The site eliminates the "clutter" associated with the hundreds of thousands of other sports cards and memorabilia items on the auction's main site and delivers only links to T206 cards for sale and auction on eBay. The time saving is worth a great deal for collectors who focus only on this valuable and exciting century-old set.

Likewise, Topps1952.com brings collectors closer to the first full set issued by the Topps company.

1952 Topps includes the rare Mickey Mantle rookie card, from the very hard-to-find high number series. These cards regularly sell for tens of thousands of dollars even in mid-grade condition.

However, there are many desirable cards in the set which kicked off Topps' run as the most favored trading card producer of all-time.

1952 Topps cards are really works of art, in a size larger than the baseball cards we see today.

Buyers seeking 1952 Topps cards for sale will have an easy time navigating the listings and adding to their collections.
